ALS Support Group

The ALS support group and health community is for those who have been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease or ALS). Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a nervous system disease that attacks nerve cells called neurons in your brain and spinal cord. These neurons transmit messages from your brain and spinal cord to your voluntary muscles - the ones you can control, like in your arms and legs. If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with ALS, this support group is for you. The ALS support group and health community is intended to be a secure place where people can ask others questions about their health experiences, share stories and get support from others fighting the disease.
