The child mental health support group and health community is for parents and caregivers of children or adolescents who have a mental health disorder. The most common types of mental health disorders in children and teenagers include: anxiety, eating disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD). National Institute of Mental Health Disorders reports that up to 5 percent of children and up to 8 percent of adolescents suffer from a mental health disorder. There are many treatment options available for children and teens who experience mental health issues. This support group and health community is intended to provide families of children with mental health disorders a secure place to ask other families about their experiences, treatments, symptoms and results.
