    Lupus Support Groups

Hello my name is Kymira and I would like to join the Lupus Support Group. I was diagnosed with Lupus in Dec. 2006/Jan. 2007. This has been a roller coaster for me. I have SLE and my lungs, heart and muscles are being effected. I also have a light butterfly rash on my face, exema on my neck. and dry flaky scalp. I hope that through this group that I can receive some encouragement and support as well as give out the same.

Hi Kymira, my name is K.K. and I was diagnosed in July last year.  Still going through but taking things a day at a time.  I also have SLE.  I will be having a CT-Scan done next month on my neck and brain and God-willing things will come out well so I can get back to working out at the gym.  Feel free to contact me whenever you feel like talking.  I will pray for your continued strength.

    Hello Kymira,

My name is Kelly & I was diagnosed roughly 7 years ago, I truly understand how all of this has been similar to a roller coaster ride for you-I can say the same. You name it, it has happened to me. I was going to respond in regards to your light butterfly rash. Do you use anytime of topical medications from your doctor? As far as makeup,I would recommend Dermabland (not for everyday use, it's really heavy & can be messy-just special occassions-I used it for my wedding). Good luck!

    Re: Lupus Support Groups

Hi, my name is Diana and I have been officially diagnosed since around 2002. I experienced symptoms for 3-4 years before, but a diagnosis was elusive. Unfortunately, mine has my muscles deteriorating and I have been ordered NOT to exercise by the dr. It stinks! I've gained 60 pounds...have always been little so this is quite hard for me to deal with. I am always here at least once per day so feel free to contact me. I also have a facebook....under Diana McFall.

Take care and blessings to you!

Hey Diana, it is nice meeting you.  I am sorry you are not able to workout.  I can kinda empathize with not being able to right now and I am not sure how I would handle it if the doctors say otherwise.  I tried looking you up on facebook but there are many Diana McFall's coming up.  Send me a request...Kanefus Walker.

    In His Love!!!

    Re: Lupus Support Groups

Good morning, got your message but couldn't find it on here to reply so I picked an older message.  The rheumatologist did some x-rays and on the x-ray they found something that mirrors arthritis in my neck but they are not sure if that is iit or not.  Also they said that at the base of my skull there are air pockets around the bone so they want to get a bigger picture to make sure that if it is arthritis that it is not working its way to affecting anything in my brain.  The x-ray only showed a small picture so the ct-scan will give them a better picture.  If that doesn't work I may have to have an mri.  I experience heaviness and aches from time-to-time but not all of the time.

Is there anything they can do about your bulging disc?

o wow ok. There isn't much that they can do for the disc. It hasn't been aggravated lately so its been ok but if it starts back to bothering me then they well do another CT scan on it and then they mentioned surgery being the only method to resolve it. I don't want surgery so We r going to pray against that.

We are praying and believing that it will not come to surgery.  God is a healer and I trust that He will see you through this without any surgical procedures needed.
