The teenage mental health development support group and health community is for the parents and caregivers of teenagers with mental health development issues or a mental health disorder. The National Institute of Mental Health "one in ten children in the U.S. today suffer from a mental disorder that causes some level of impairment". A few of the mental health issues that can affect teenagers include: bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD, ADD, depression, autism spectrum disorders, eating disorders and schizophrenia. There are many treatment options available to children and teenagers who suffer from mental health issues. Please talk to a health care professional to determine which treatment may be best suited for your teenagers.
This support group is intended to provide parents and caregivers of teenagers with mental health development issues a secure place to ask other parents questions, to share stories or concerns and to support one another.
