On and On It Goes

Lupus flare continuing.  Fatigue and constant pain wearing on my spirit.  Will see my rheumatologist tomorrow morning.  I was having a great deal of problems with my insurance coverage (or lack of).  I was unable to get the antibiotics for the bacterial infection since the first week in January.  I paid for my January COBRA coverage in December, but my last employer had a problem with their portion of the payment... thereby my coverage was cancelled.  It was finally paid, and I was able to get my medicine yesterday.

unbelievable. I am frustrated for you and all the others who can't get the medication and medical help they need because of red tape. I'm glad that your previous employer finally paid their portion of your cobra so you could get the medication you need.

I hope and pray that access to medical care gets easier for you.

Also, good luck with the disability filing. I hope that the process is smooth and quick.

Keep us posted.

My rheumatologist doubled my prescription for Lyrica.  I was able to obtain my medicine with no problem (YEAH!) and started it last night.  I am quite "stoned" right now.  I am certain my body will adjust in a while.

The good news - the pain has been reduced some and I am so drugged right now that I don't really care about the rest.  Will update this diary later and hopefully will be able to report continued improvement!
