Oh well .... tomorrow I go for my IV iron infusion. Thrills!!! I hope after sitting/laying there for 6-8 hours that it helps more this time.
Kim, I have not heard of this. Does it help with fatigue? Is it for anemia? Good luck and bring a book :)
I have had severe anemnia for years .. iron deficiency and B12 deficiency .... I have to get iron IV because I don't absorb it at all any other way ... trouble is, the IV method is all that is left and it is only about 33% effective anymore. :(
That must be difficult Kim, I'm sorry. I know that Lupus can cause fatigue. I can't imagine having low iron on top of it. Are you familiar with the spoon theory? It is a wonderful piece written by a Lupus patient about dealing with the low energy of the illness. It is most helpful in getting family to understand. I find I use it to pace myself. Google it if you have never heard of it....sending white light and hugs
yes ... I absolutely love the spoon theory! I use as well to help others understand. My friend who has sleroderma and I use it to see how each other is feeling from day to day, etc. It's our own private joke.
