Waiting for another one

I've been over two years seizure free and I'm just now working on getting on my licesnse to drive. Things in my life seemed to be going just great. It's when things are going great that someone and by someone I mean my brain throws a monkey wrench in there. So one day at work and my eyes start acting weird. Now I know for every epliptec warning signs or auras come in all shapes, sizes, or even smells, but with me my eyes do weird things. Like feel weird or just before the seizure cross rapidly. Of course by time my eyes are crossing my brains to far gone to say anything so it's always a surprise to friends and family when I fall down and have a seizure. How wonderful. Anyways when my eyes started acting weird I have to admit I freaked out and called my mother. Considering the eyething lasted over an hour I was a bit paniced so it was like my brain and medication were at war. Thankfully the two times this has happened my meds. won the battle. My evil epliptec brain must not win! I want that driver's license! It's my ticket to a decent job! No more grocery store stocking please!

Look Out! you got the warning in time one day you might be driving and not realize that your Aura was actually a seizure in progress. That's what happened to me I used to get an Aura (burning sensation in the nose and amonia smell) But, then I totaled my truck.  and realized that every time people would ask is I was ok, and I'd tell them "yea I was just thinking for a minute I was having a seizure. my seizures had changed and I didn't know it. now I have them several times a month and can't drive anymore and yes no more job.

I can relate to an extent, especially regarding driving. I happen to live in Ohio, which does have a law regarding seizures but does not have a required time frame between seizures. The law does require doctor's approval though.

I know what it's like. For years I dealt with fighting to get rides everywhere. It is especially frustrating trying to get to and from work. My neurologist requires 3 months between seizures before he will give the approval. I've been fortunate enough to be going about 6 months between them, so he has given me the approval.

I won't lie that plenty of times I've driven without the approval. In fact, I have actually had a couple of accidents that I cannot account for  what happened. I truly think it's possible that I had a seizure.
