tell me to paint :)

Yesturday I did a lot. I taught four very busy classes and was on top of my game. Today I should really go to the studio to paint. I have 3 portaits to finish and their not going to paint themselves ha ha ha. I am a little afraid of over doing it. My daughter is having a yard sale this weekend to get some money to finish a room on our first floor so I may move down stairs. It makes me feel old. But the stairs are getting difficult for me so I have to be realistic.

I hope the yard sale was successful! I hope that you get the room fixed up soon so you don't have to navigate stairs.

We made about $300. So we are on our way. The problem with art books is that they are usually about technique and not a whole lot about understanding why.

Why is reflected light darker than the light side of the object.

How can complimentary colors aid in the illusion of distance.

How you can use the understanding of visual ratio to depict perspective.

I have yet to find a book that addresses these scientific and mathematical elements of viewing an object that is in front of you.

My students say I should write it. Maybe some day I will. I just wish I wasn't so tired from Lupus.
