Getting sick with no immune system....

I was just wondering if anyone that is on PLAQUENIL has gotten sick? Like a cold or the flu? I am affraid that I am getting sick and being on plaquenil it kills your immune sytem??? If you get sick can you still fight off the virus? Do you get more sick being on this medication? Does it take you forever to get rid of it? I feel like I am getting a head cold and had muliply asthma attacks last night which is a sure sign I am getting sick. Any advice on getting over it (if that is possible)? If dealing with Lupus is not enough, I have to add a virus too.

I have been on Plaquenil for years. About 8 years now. I have not had a problem with getting sick. I also take methotrexate (chemo) to kill off some of my immune system. I never want to go off methotrexate, I am in so much more pain when I am off of it. It is a life saver for me! I wish I could give you some advise on being sick but I don't have any. Hope you feel better soon.
