My Bio

I am a 31 year old male in what I consider a healthy relationship. I have had epilepsy since I was two yrs old. For the longest time I ignored this fact and tried to pretend that I was as normal as the next guy. This all came to a head after I met Janine in 2006 She was pregnant when we met, but that didn''t matter to me. The guy had abused her and I stood by her as if the child were my own. Shortly after that the county that I was living in started giving stupid reasons to take my medicade away. This caused me to be on and off my medication and not be able to find a neurologist. I had many partial seizures during this time. Janine helped me fight for my medicade, but by then it was too late and I lost my job due to recovering from seizures. I became depressed and couldn''t find another job. Even therapy didn''t help. By then Janine was pregnant with our second child. Shortly after Katie was born I had a seizure that put me in the hospital for four days and the day I got out we were evicted. This only added to my stress level and caused me more seizures. We moved across the river to Janine''s old house and a new county where they treat you better. I finally found a good neurologist and started to get on a better medicine cocktail, as it were. In Oct. of 2008 I had my first Gran Mal in five years. This really scared me. Since then I have had one almost every three months or more frequently. I have many partial seizures on a daily basis. I went for disability, but was turned down because they don''t consider epilepsy to be life threatening. Through all this Janine as stayed loyally by ny side as well as our two children Nicholas, three and Kathleen, two, plus her teenage Son Carmine 14. I couldn''t ask for a better family. Now what I need are some friends to talk to.
