My Bio
I went from what I thought was extreemly healthy to being very sick in a couple days. I was going to be so embarased when the doctor told me I had a hemeroid. I cried alot when he told me it was cancer. I went through five weeks of daily radiation and weekly chemo and then had my surgery six weeks later. I cried again when I found out the surgery would be permanent and extensive. I have been on Xeloda for almost 4 months. I have one more 2 week series to go. I''m thinking a party is in order. I worked full time throught this. I did take two months leave after the surgery. I should have taken more. It has left me pretty worn out, but I kept my hair!!!! I have good hair :-) So, I''m almost done. I will be considered cured. The tumor was stage 2 and they didn''t find any in my lymph nodes. I will regain my strength and be hiking the mountain next spring. We all have to be thankful for our blessings and fight becoming bitter over the battles we have faced. I have three grown children that make me proud every day. I have friends that have shown what they are made of. I have me. It took something like this to make me aware of the fact that it is OK to take care of myself.
