My Bio
I''ve been hearing voices. I''ve tried practically every drug available. My current meds stopped working. They worked for a long time, but after trying to increase the dose recently, it''s is still not working anymore. I went to an enlightenment seminar, which helped me find my way back to God (I had started to lose my faith and became angry). Ever since then, I hardly ever hear the voices, and if I do, it''s extremely soft and not bothersome at all. I have faith that the voices will be completely gone soon. I plan to wean myself off the medication. There is no need if it''s not working, and without the meds, I will be able to have kids in the future without having to worry about them not developing right because of the meds. Things are now looking up, and I am so happy!

the meds worked for a while, but just temporary. i would recommend this treatment for others, but reaction to the meds differs from person to person. it works for some and not for others. it has currently been 8-9 yrs (2009), so i wouldn't say that i have recovered yet. i don't remember how long it took for my mind to go back to normal when the meds started to work. i only remember that my mind went back to crazy quickly after the symptoms started up again.

I was an outpatient, so i didn't have to sleep there. It's like group therapy. They go over different things with you like listing the different things you can do to help you cope, and sometimes you get to do fun projects. I didn't stay long because at the time, I was on meds that were working and I felt pretty good the whole time. Unfortunately, those meds stopped working a month after I left, so I had to switch meds, and those worked better and longer. I don't remember how much my parents paid for it.

I'm under the MRMIP program. it's for people with pre-existing conditions. regular health insurance companies denied me because of that (which is so wrong). so of course, i'm probably paying more than i should be paying since the policies are unfair. affordability depends on how much money you have. my bf's is currently helping me pay it, but it keeps costing more every year. so maybe i'll be changing my rating when next year comes around.
