Panic attacks will flood the body with hormones such as adrenaline in response to the intense fear and anxiety.
Panic and anxiety attacks are often linked to agoraphobia, or fear of not being able to escape a terrifying situation. Panic and anxiety attacks can be caused from mandy things including: heredity, environmental factors (such as frightening world view of parents), various phobias, other mental health conditions, previous situations in which intense fear was experienced and more.
Panic attacks and anxiety disorder can be treated. Treatment options include counseling, medications, behavior modifications and support groups.
