Can anyone tell me anything about lupus?  I only know what the doctors have said.  How long does it take for the medicine to work?  Will I ever be active again?? 

Lupus is an autoimmune disease which can cause damage to the patients body (including skin, organs and joints).

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to respond.  I do not have lupus, but there are nearly 200 members on this site who do.  Simply type the term "lupus" in the search box at the upper right corner of this page and hit "search". You should see all the members who have lupus in their health profile or bio.  You can send any of these members a message and ask them more about their personal experiences with lupus.

I also encourage you to enter a "Health Diary" with you lupus questions. I've noticed that our members are pretty good at reading and responding to Health Diaries.  I would use the title "Questions About Lupus...HELP" or something similar to get people's attention.
